Competition Terms and Conditions

Promoter

This competition (“Promotion”) is organised and promoted by Playbuddy (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2024/286250/07, a wholly owned subsidiary of MasQtec (Pty) Ltd, with registered offices at Unit 4–6, Valvick Office Park, 25 Green Road, Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (“the Promoter”). By entering, participants agree to the following terms:

Eligibility

• Open to all children residing in South Africa under 18 years old, with parental or guardian consent.

• Entries must be submitted via the official Playbuddy competition form and include proof of purchase of any Playbuddy toy from a participating retailer.

• Employees, directors, and agents of Playbuddy (Pty) Ltd, Masqtec (Pty) Ltd, or their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

Entry Requirements

• Each entry must include the child’s full name, school name, and proof of purchase.

• Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.

• Each purchase qualifies for one entry only.

Prizes

• The total prize pool is R10,000, allocated as follows:

  • R5,000 to the winning child’s school

  • R2,500 to the store where the toy was purchased

  • R2,500 donation to the nominated SPCA or dog rescue center

  • A Playbuddy hamper to the winning child

• Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Winner Selection

• Winners will be chosen via random draw under supervision by Playbuddy (Pty) Ltd.

• The Promoters’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

• Winners will be contacted via the provided contact details within 14 days of the draw.

Use of Information

• By entering, participants grant Playbuddy (Pty) Ltd and Masqtec (Pty) Ltd the right to use their names, school name, and photos for marketing, promotional, and public relations purposes without additional compensation.

• Personal data will be collected, processed, and stored in accordance with South Africa’s POPI Act.

Liability

• Playbuddy (Pty) Ltd and Masqtec (Pty) Ltd, including their directors, employees, or agents, accept no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the competition or acceptance of any prize.

• The Promoters are not responsible for any technical malfunctions, lost entries, or network failures that may prevent participation.

General

• The Promoters reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without notice.

• Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

• Any disputes will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
