Promoter
This competition (“Promotion”) is organised and promoted by Playbuddy (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2024/286250/07, a wholly owned subsidiary of MasQtec (Pty) Ltd, with registered offices at Unit 4–6, Valvick Office Park, 25 Green Road, Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (“the Promoter”). By entering, participants agree to the following terms:

Eligibility

• The Promotion is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older.

• Employees, directors, agents or immediate family members of the Promoter, Pet Brands SA, Petshop Science, or any associated advertising agencies are not eligible to enter.

• Participation in this Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

 

Competition Period

• The Promotion runs from 1 November 2025 to 22 December 2025 at 23:59 SAST.

• Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

• The winner will be drawn on 23 December 2025 and announced via Playbuddy’s official social-media pages.

How to enter to stand a chance to win:

​

1. Visit any participating Petshop Science store (see list on Playbuddy’s social-media pages or QR-linked website).

2. Buy any Playbuddy product.

3. Take a clear photo of your till receipt.

4. Scan the QR code on the Playbuddy packaging.

5. Upload your receipt via the entry form and submit your details (name, email, contact number, and city).
    

Optional bonus entry: Share a photo of your dog enjoying their Playbuddy toy and tag @playbuddypets on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #PlaybuddyAtPetshopScience.
 

Entry Conditions

• Each valid purchase (and corresponding receipt upload) counts as one entry.

• Participants may enter multiple times, provided each entry is supported by a separate, valid purchase receipt.

• Incomplete, illegible, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

• The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of receipts and entrants.

• No responsibility is accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not successfully submitted due to technical or network issues.

Prize Details

• One (1) winner will receive a Playbuddy Hamper Prize, containing a selection of Playbuddy toys and accessories (total approximate retail value R2,000).

• The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

• The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if required.

Winner Selection and Notification

• The winner will be selected at random by the Promoter or its appointed representative on 23 December 2025.

• The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• The winner will be contacted by telephone or email within 5 working days of the draw.

• If the winner cannot be reached within 7 days, or fails to provide a valid delivery address, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw a new winner.

• The winner’s name and city may be published on Playbuddy’s social-media pages and/or website.

Use of Personal Information

• By entering, participants consent to the Promoter collecting and processing their personal information for the purposes of administering the Promotion and delivering the prize.

• The Promoter will not share participants’ details with any third party other than service providers directly involved in the competition.

• All data will be handled in compliance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

General Conditions

• This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.

• Entrants release Meta, Facebook, and Instagram from any claims arising from participation.

• The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Promotion or these Terms & Conditions for any reason beyond its control.

• Proof of purchase must be retained and produced upon request to validate entry.

• The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) arising out of participation in this Promotion or from acceptance of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

• The Promoter’s decision regarding all aspects of the Promotion is final and binding.
